The cottage
is located in the middle of the Portofino
Natural Park, the site is named Paradiso. The hut is located at
530 m of altitude above sea level and from there you will enjoy the
view of the Riviera from Camogli to France. The hut is the only concrete
building (apart from the old and new lighthouses) located in the Park;
it was built with a lot of efforts and using mules to take the materials
up hill, at the beginning of the century and it used to be a stop
for resting during the walking around the promontory; it was known
as the "Tea Hut". Recently converted to holiday inn, it can be reached
only on foot (20-30 min from the car park or bus stop close to Kulm
Hotel). During the refurbishment works, the original liberty decoration
have come out; these, together with the candles and oil lamps, bring
you back to the beginning of the century.
